The late-arrival for students on the 28^th of September was an opportunity for teachers to take data from last year's PLAN and IACT tests to develop "Must-Knows" for students to focus on. Teachers used skills of strength and weakness that were identified on the school improvement day of September 28^th to determine what the focus areas should be for students in the areas of math, reading, English and science. Teachers will build instruction around these skills while incorporating the content of the district curriculum. Teachers are gaining valuable collaboration time during the late-arrivals to discuss best-practices and set goals for their students. The next late-arrival date is October 26^th.

The September 24^th early release for students was an opportunity for the staff of HHS to look at data from the PLAN and IACT tests last spring for this current year's juniors and sophomores. Teachers identified areas of strength and weakness based on student performance and matched the areas to the specific college readiness skills put forth by ACT. Teachers will use this data to make decisions that will drive instruction in the classroom aimed towards academic school improvement.
