In Whip-pur Sports

Freshman/Sophomore Soccer

After 3 ties, the Frosh/Soph soccer team beat DeKalb yesterday 1-0. Ulysses Rosiles had an outstanding game in goal. Leo Hernandez scored the game winning goal that was assisted by Carlos Segura. The team takes on Sycamore Saturday at 10am.

Girls JV Tennis

The JV Girls Tennis team came up short last night against Jacobs in the win column, but earned the biggest W of the season for heart, grit, and determination.  The doubles team of Sophia Geraci and Sydney Sleper were down in their super tiebreaker 5-9. They then managed to win four straight points and eventually came out on top, 13-11 in a match that will undoubtedly be talked about for months to come. Raquel Paniagua and Yuli Soto also showed heart and determination by overcoming their opponents and winning in a super tiebreaker.

Freshmen Volleyball

After making it to the championship game at their tournament on Saturday, the freshmen volleyball team continues to make progress by playing some nice rallies against Huntley last night. Ashley Garcia and Jozlynn Lewerentz had good games for the Whip-purs.

Varsity Volleyball

Our Varsity volleyball team played a fantastic game last night, but it wasn't quite enough to beat the Red Raiders of Huntley, losing 20-25, 19-25.  Top performances came from Middle Blocker Lucy Magnussen with 7 points (5 kills and 2 blocks), Outside Hitter Maggie Seagren with 6 kills, and Setter Sophie Holtz with 11 assists.
