College Presentation


Juniors and Seniors:  A representative from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will be holding a presentation on March 20th entitled “College 101”.  Topics will include post-secondary options, how to find schools, what to think about when deciding on a college and a major, the importance of college visits and examples of careers with different educational degrees.  If you are interested in attending this presentation please sign up in Student Services.


Food Pantry Donations


The Foreign Language Department is collecting non-perishable food items in the box in Room 1105 to benefit the Hampshire/Burlington food pantry.  Last day for donations is today.  Please see Sra. Konajeski for more information.


Free to be Me Club


The first meeting of the “Free to be Me” club will be held in the Library after school on Tuesday, March 21st.  This club’s primary focus will be to support the LGBTQ community here at Hampshire High School.  All students interested in providing a supportive and accepting environment are invited to join.


Junior College Night


Attention Juniors. The Counseling Department will host Junior College Night on March 22nd at 6:30 in the Lecture Room.  This event will provide students and parents’ important information on how to select a college, apply for admission, consider financial aid options, and answer your questions. We hope you will join us for this informative evening.  If you have any questions, please see your counselor.


Musical Tickets


The musical minute this week has been brought to you by the songs of Les Miserable! Get your tickets today as they are going quickly!  Performances will be tonight at tomorrow night at 7pm and Sunday, March 19th at 2pm.  Purchase your tickets through the D300 Web Store, but hurry before they sell out!


Open MIC 


Hey Whips...Can you sing? Rap? Juggle? Tell jokes or play an instrument?  Sign up for the Open Mic on Friday, March 24th during all lunch periods.  Sign-up sheets are posted in the Main Office.  It's all going down on the last day before Spring Break so sign up today!  Remember, all performances must be school appropriate.  See Mrs. Jamrozy or Mr. Serritella for details.


PBIS Raffle


Hey Whips!  Are you interested in going to see the HHS musical on Friday night??  PBIS is raffling off 2 free tickets to Les Miserables this Friday night at 7:00 pm!  This is a great opportunity to enjoy one of our outstanding musicals for the cost of only 1 Purple Pay.  You may enter by this raffle by adding your Purple Pay to the raffle box located in Student Services.  Please make sure your name is clearly written on it and that it is signed by a teacher.  You may enter as many times as you would like.  Good Luck!!!


Sophomore Class Fundraiser


The sophomore class will be having a Chipotle fundraiser on Monday, March 20th from 5-9.  Flyers can be picked up in the main office, from your sophomore class officers or just let the cashier know that you are supporting HHS on Monday, March 20th.






Post Prom Draw Down Raffle


Parents!!!  Please join us on March 18th at 7 pm for a FUN night at the Post Prom Draw-Down Raffle.  The event will be held at The Eagles Clubhouse in Gilberts.  Tickets are $50 each.  The price of admission includes entry for 2 people into the event and a chance to win up to $1000.  All proceeds are used to provide a safe and memorable post prom for our students.  To purchase tickets, please contact Julie Gara at or 847-489-2098.
