Students interested in a military career should considering taking the ASVAB the morning of November 9th in the Lecture Room.  If you are interested in taking the ASVAB this fall, please sign up in Student Services.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Lis.


Lost & Found

Hey Whips!  If you’ve been missing any items in the last few weeks, it could be because they are in the Lost & Found in the main office waiting for you to pick them up!  Please retrieve your items as soon as possible this week, as they will be bagged up and given to charity before the long weekend.


PBIS Raffle

Hey Whips!  Get out your Purple Pay because it’s time for the PBIS October Raffle!!  This month’s raffle is for a catered lunch for 8.  If you are the lucky winner, you will get to choose from a variety of restaurants from which we will order lunch for you and seven of your friends! You may enter by adding one Purple Pay to the PBIS raffle box located in the Commons near the lunch lines.  Your Purple Pay must be signed by a staff member.  You may enter as many times as you would like.   The winner will be drawn on October 27th.   And staff don’t forget – the staff member who issues the winning Purple Pay will get to select from a menu of incentives!!   Good Luck!!


PSAT/NMSQT Prep Course

Juniors who are taking the PSAT/NMSQT prep course: the schedule and locations of the trainings are posted on the door to Student Services. Please see Mr. Danielson if you have any questions.


Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarship

Attention seniors.  The Daughters of the American Revolution is running a scholarship contest for a reward amount between $250-$5,000. Please submit a one page essay to Mrs. Wade on the qualities of being a good citizen (dependability, service, leadership and patriotism).  Essay is due by the end of the day tomorrow!


Varsity Tennis

The Varsity tennis team won their last conference meet of the year against McHenry. Big wins came from 1st singles Katelyn Patthana, and Kaylee Patthana at 2nd singles. The doubles teams also came through with victories including Cam Barrientos and Grace Witecha at 1st doubles, Sandra Miciak and Sam Miranda at 2nd doubles, Karen Ortega and Maryann Santos at 3rd doubles, and Kenzie Cooper and Julia Magalit at 4th doubles. Way to go, Whips!
