Art Trip

Kudos to all the Cross-Country runners who PR’d this past Saturday.  They include Aly Johnson, Kyle Blake, Elijah Stuart, Santi Arreola, Evan Johnson, Jacob Hooper and Lindsey Baron.  Congrats to all those who set a season personal best on the hilly course and to the boy’s frosh/soph team who took first place out of 38 teams!


Financial Aid Night

Attention seniors. Our annual Financial Aid Night will be held tomorrow night from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the Auditorium.  A representative from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will present on how to apply for financial aid, scholarships, grants, loans, and much more. Graduating seniors and parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Families with underclassmen are also welcome. See your counselor for more information.


French Club

French club will be meeting again this week on Thursday, October 5th, before school in room 1108. Come to vote for officers and further discuss shirt designs.  A jeudi!


Lost & Found

Hey Whips!  If you’ve been missing any items in the last few weeks, it could be because they are in the Lost & Found in the main office waiting for you to pick them up!  Please retrieve your items as soon as possible this week, as they will be bagged up and given to charity before the long weekend.


PBIS Raffle

Hey Whips!  Get out your Purple Pay because it’s time for the PBIS October Raffle!!  This month’s raffle is for a catered lunch for 8.  If you are the lucky winner, you will get to choose from a variety of restaurants from which we will order lunch for you and seven of your friends! You may enter by adding one Purple Pay to the PBIS raffle box located in the Commons near the lunch lines.  Your Purple Pay must be signed by a staff member.  You may enter as many times as you would like.   The winner will be drawn on October 27th.   And staff don’t forget – the staff member who issues the winning Purple Pay will get to select from a menu of incentives!!   Good Luck!!


PSAT/NMSQT Prep Sessions

Juniors who have signed up for the PSAT/NMSQT prep session: Sessions start this afternoon! Please see the schedule on the guidance office door for your location. These were updated this week, so please take a moment to confirm your placement. See Mr. Danielson with any questions.


Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarship

Attention seniors.  The Daughters of the American Revolution is running a scholarship contest for a reward amount between $250-$5,000. Please submit a one page essay to Mrs. Wade on the qualities of being a good citizen (dependability, service, leadership and patriotism).  Essay is due by the end of the day today!


Senior Portraits

CLASS OF 2018! Calling all SENIORS, Last call for Senior Portraits! Lifetouch will be here for the final time this year to take your Senior Portrait. This is ONLY for seniors who did not take their senior photo during the summer or on September 5th. If you want to be in the 2017-2018 yearbook, come to the Auditorium Lobby during your lunchtime or ASP class from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 12th. THIS WILL BE THE LAST PHOTO SESSION AT HHS FOR YOUR SENIOR PHOTO!

Swim Fundraiser

On Tuesday, October 10th, Buona in Algonquin will be hosting a fundraiser for the Jacobs/Hampshire Girls Swim Team.  They will donate 20% of all sales incurred as a result of your participation.  A flyer must be presented when ordering and can be picked up in the Athletic office.  Thanks for your support!


Think Pink Volleyball Game

Hey Whip-pur fans!  Tonight is your chance to not only watch an exciting volleyball game, but also support a great cause.  Please join us for the 8th annual Think Pink Game!  Admission is FREE!!  Funds will be raised for breast cancer research.  Check out the bake sale, silent auction, and raffle for awesome prizes, or purchase a memorial ball to honor a loved one.  Games in both gyms start at 5pm for JV & Sophomores followed by Varsity and Freshmen at approximately 6pm. Wear pink if you have it and let's pack the gym!



Don’t forget, Tri-M Members -- Your next chapter meeting will be tomorrow at 7am or 3pm in the orchestra room. We will then meet with Art Club at 3:25pm that day, so plan to be there if you can. See you there!
