Freshmen Volleyball

After narrowly defeating Crystal Lake Central in the first round of conference, the freshmen volleyball team was edged out by just 2 points in a close 3rd game last night. Pushing the attack at the service line and the net were Lexi Kolakowski, Natalia Monterroso, Vanessa Rivera, Kayleen Sese, and Cassie Castaneda.

Sophomore Volleyball

With the win over Crystal Lake Central last night, the sophomore volleyball team has improved to 9-3 in conference and 18-7 overall.  In 2 quick games, the Whips scored 20 more points than the visiting team. This was accomplished with aggressive serving and all of our servers aced the Tigers at least once. Top servers for the night were Hayley O'Reilly and Haley Mohr. Our aggressiveness at the net gave the Tigers no hope as Haley Mohr led the team in blocks and Ainslee Bero led us in kills.  Nice job ladies! Now let's beat Huntley on Tuesday! Fans, come help us out! Home game at 5pm on the 10th.

Varsity Volleyball

Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on the volleyball teams last night and support the Think Pink fundraiser for breast cancer research. A huge shout out of appreciation goes to our parent volunteer, Mrs. Jennifer Garza, for her time and effort in organizing the event.  The Varsity volleyball team played strong but lost the 3 game set to the Tigers of CLC.  Senior outside hitters Maggie Seagren and Gianna Garza led the team with 8 kills, 2 blocks, and 1 ace & 5 kills, 1 block, and 3 digs respectively.  Riley Seagren also had 5 kills, 1 block, and 3 digs.  Sophie Holtz added 12 assists and Abby Dedina had 10 digs on defense. The Varsity Whip-purs won 5 of 7 games last week, including a 3rd place finish in our home invitational on Saturday.
