2018 Graduates

Seniors! Herff-Jones will be here this Wednesday, September 13th to go over cap and gown graduation orders with you.  Please report directly to the Lecture Hall at the very beginning of your lunch period.  You will be in there for no more than 10 minutes.

French Club

Bonjour! French club will be having its first meeting tomorrow before school in room 1108. Please come to discuss plans for the year and election of officers.  All are welcome! 

Freshmen Class Officers

Attention freshmen class officers, there will be a short meeting tomorrow morning at 7:10 in room 1107.  Please bring your supply lists and your wall design.   See Mrs. Hopley with questions.

Homecoming Spirit Week

Next week is homecoming and the theme is “City of Stars”.  Our spirit themes for next week are: Monday: Tacky tourist; Tuesday: Sports jersey day; Wednesday: Class color day; Thursday: Hampshire Hoe Down; Friday: Purple out!

Operation Click

Operation Click is having our first meeting of the year. If you are a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior and would like to join, please attend our first meeting Wednesday, September 13th at 7:00 am in the Main Office Conference Room.  If you have any questions or want to be a part of Operation click and cannot make the meeting, please contact Mr. Burke.

Powder Puff

Today is the last day to order a Powder Puff shirt online, information is in the athletic office. All girls wishing to play in the game on September 20th must have a shirt.

Sophomore Powder Puff

Sophomore girls playing powder puff, reminder we have practice today from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. Please meet in the athletic hallway outside the PE Office. T-shirt orders are due today, you must order a T-shirt in order to participate. See you tonight.

Student Council

Student Council will meet Wednesday morning in room 1104 at 7:10 am.  If you are not able to attend, please see Ms. Kelly on Wednesday after school.


In Whip-pur Sports


Congratulations to freshmen Lindsay Baron and Isai Morales for winning their races in Rockford this past Saturday.  The frosh/soph boys won the meet by an astounding 48 points.  Notable performances go to Tim Puzcek, Kaila Jensen and Aly Johnson.  In Peoria, Sophia Oury placed 16th in the girls double A race out of 481 runners!  Elijah Stuart medaled at 26th place and Santiago Arreola took 60th out of 492 runners!  The boys’ varsity team placed 10th out of 58 teams, edging out our rivals from Central High School by two points. 

Girls Golf

Last Thursday the Lady Whips golf team competed against the U-46 Coop team and lost a tough match 204-215.  Scoring for the whips were Delaney Marcuccilli 49, Gianna Farinella 50, Sydney Marcuccilli 57, Alyssa Tirado 59 and Grace Fuller 59….The Marcuccilli sisters each had 1 par and Farinella carded 3 pars for the day.  Reminder, all girls playing and practicing tonight at Randall Oaks---you are to be dismissed at 2:45 for our 3:00 bus to Randall Oaks.

Sophomore Volleyball

The sophomore volleyball team went undefeated 8-0 at the Harvest Christian Tournament on Saturday. Juli Barrientos, Hayley O'Reilly, and Haley Mohr went on huge serving runs to show our domination.  Outside hitter Michaela Burke lead the team with kills for the day. Michaela Burke and Haley Mohr received All-Tournament Team medals.
