Art Club

Art club will be meeting on Thursday after school in room 1608 until 4pm. See you there!


Tomorrow, FCA will meet in Mr. Braker’s room #3007 for our second meeting of the year.  We’ll have a little fun and discuss our goals for the year.  The meeting starts at 6:45AM or whenever you can get here from the buses.  Come be the change you want to see at HHS!

Go Gold Volleyball Game

The Thursday, September 14th volleyball game will be a “Go Gold “ game, wear your Go Gold shirt and you get free admission. Support our team and a great cause. Games start at 5PM and it is also teacher appreciation night.

2018 Graduates

Reminder, Seniors! Herff-Jones will be here today to go over cap and gown graduation orders with you.  Please report directly to the Lecture Hall at the very beginning of your lunch period.  You will be in there for no more than 10 minutes.

GSA Club

There will be a short meeting of the GSA club after school today in the library for the purpose of electing this year's officers.  See you there.


Hey students!  Are you planning on going to homecoming?  Tickets are on sale now for $15 at the district webstore.  See and look for HHS homecoming dance.  Paper tickets will only be sold for a few days next week.  Get your ticket now!  Bringing a date to Homecoming from a different school?  The form is in the main office in the paper bins.  It is due next Wednesday, September 20th.  Pick one up today!

Homecoming Court Nominations

Homecoming Court nominations will be on under “student quick links” on the Hampshire High School home web page by tomorrow.  The nominations will continue through Saturday, September 16th, at noon.

Homecoming Spirit Week

Next week is homecoming and the theme is “City of Stars”.  Our spirit themes for next week are: Monday: Tacky tourist; Tuesday: Sports jersey day; Wednesday: Class color day; Thursday: Country Day; Friday: Purple out!

Please note!  Hats may be worn to accompany the theme of each day, for example, on sports jersey day -- if you wear a jersey, you can also wear a hat to accompany that outfit.  Sunglasses are not allowed to be worn on the face but can be placed on student’s heads. 

24 Hour Musical

Attention All Whip-purs!!! We are going to be having our very first, 24 Hour Musical Showcase!!!  Have you ever wanted to be in a musical but didn't have the time? Well you have the chance to try it out in 24 hours on April 13th and 14th. We will be staying late at night and will be learning a show in under 24 hours!! Our directors hope to see as many of you as they can at auditions on September 28th!! Pick up an audition sheet and sign up in the auditorium lobby.

My College Planning

High School youth and their parents are encouraged to learn more about the process of applying to college from the trusted My College Planning Team staff on Thursday, September 14th at 6PM at the Ella Johnson Library in downtown Hampshire. Powder Puff Food Drive

Please bring a canned food item to the Powder Puff game next Wednesday, September 20, as admission to the game. The National Honor Society will be assisting at the main gate to donate to the D300 food pantry.

Relay for Life

The Relay for Life Committee will have its first meeting this Friday before school. We welcome anyone to join us in planning and managing this amazing event! If you care about fighting cancer and want to get involved with a great group at HHS, then Relay’s for you! When you get off the bus on Friday, head straight up to the library. Drivers, meet us in the library at 7am.  We can’t wait to kick off another great year of Relay!

Sign Language Club

Sign Language Club is starting on Thursday, Sept. 28. There will be 8 weeks of classes from 3-4 p.m. Please sign up if interested outside room 1005. We will offer beginning and intermediate levels. We will decide what rooms will be used when we know how many people are interested.

Sophomore Volleyball

The sophomore volleyball team continued their winning ways last night against CLS and are now 11-4 overall and 4-2 in conference.  In the close 3-game match, Hampshire never backed down.  Setters Juli Barrientos and Bella Miscevich held the team together on the court and fought back at the service line.  Middle hitter Kaila Kammes had some key blocks at the net. Nice job ladies!

Varsity Volleyball

The Varsity Volleyball Team had a tough loss against the Gators of Crystal Lake South last night going 25-18, 25-21, which bring their overall record to 5-7.  Top players in the game were Senior Gianna Garza with 7 kills and 1 ace, Riley Seagren with 6 kills and 2 blocks, Lucy Magnussen with 4 kills and 1 block, Setter Sophie Holtz with 11 assists, and Defensive Libero Bella Sobota with 13 digs. Come see them in action tomorrow at 6pm in the Main Gym for Teacher Appreciation Night.
