Students interested in a military career should considering taking the ASVAB the morning of November 9th in the Lecture Room.  If you are interested in taking the ASVAB this fall, please sign up in Student Services.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Lis.


Financial Aid Night

Attention seniors. Our annual Financial Aid Night will be held on October 4th from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the Auditorium.  A representative from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will present on how to apply for financial aid, scholarships, grants, loans, and much more. Graduating seniors and parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Families with underclassmen are also welcome. See your counselor for more information.


PSAT/NMSQT Prep Course

Juniors who are taking the PSAT/NMSQT prep course: the schedule and locations of the trainings are posted on the door to Student Services. Please see Mr. Danielson if you have any questions.


Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarship

Attention seniors.  The Daughters of the American Revolution is running a scholarship contest for a reward amount between $250-$5,000. Please submit a one page essay to Mrs. Wade on the qualities of being a good citizen (dependability, service, leadership and patriotism).  Essay is due by the end of the day, on Tuesday October 3rd.



Don’t forget, Tri-M Members -- Your next chapter meeting will be on Wednesday, October 4th at 7am or 3pm in the orchestra room. We will then meet with Art Club at 3:25pm that day, so plan to be there if you can. See you there!


Freshmen Volleyball

The Freshmen Volleyball team defeated Jacobs last night in 2 games.  Powerful serves from Lexi Kolakowski, Maggie Randell, and Sophia Abreu earned many points.  Overall teamwork and the play of Jozlynn Lewerentz, Cassie Castaneda, Ashley Garcia, & Vanessa Rivera helped secure the victory. In the second game, Setter Cece Gonzales led on the court and Aliyah Andrade & Veronica Mayer contributed to the win.  Nice job girls!


Varsity Volleyball

The Varsity Volleyball team had a nice win over the Jacobs Golden Eagles last night bringing their record to 7-10 overall. Gianna Garza led the team with 9 Kills and 4 digs, Maggie Seagren had 6 Kills and 1 ace, Riley Seagren had 5 Kills, Sophie Holtz set up 14 assists, and Libero Bella Sobota had 9 digs.
