This past weekend the Fishing Team competed in a competition at Cabela’s. As a team, we took second place with only 10 points separating first and second places. We also had a competitor, Mark Jimenez, finish in first place in the individual competition. Congratulations to Mark Jimenez, Jacob Kollins, Luke Zdeb, and Will Henderson. French Club will be meeting tomorrow (April 12) in room 1108, before school. Come and enjoy refreshments and to help make plans for the rest of the year.
Attention all Boys and Girls who participated on the golf team this year: If you are interested in attending the Men’s and/or Women’s NCAA Division I championship at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove Illinois, see Coach Ellett in room 2008 for information on how to receive your free ticket of admission. The tournament takes place from May 19th-May 31st and you can attend any day of your choosing…..they have contests and trick shots as well as the best golfers in the country competing. Rich Harvest Farms is a private golf course, so this may be your one and only time to see great golf on this golf course…..again, see Mrs. Ellett for ticket information.
Hampshire Fire Academy
Attention students interested in a career such as firefighter, EMT, police office, or the military. The Hampshire Fire Department is holding a two-day field trip providing approved students an experience including firefighter duties, paramedic drills, and training exercises. The Academy will take place on April 13th and 14th. If you are interested please put your name on the signup sheet in Student Services. Do not delay. Sign up in Student Services today. Attention prom goers. Check out the walls on second and third floors by the stair for details on time, meals, etc. We will continue to add to the wall as prom draws closer. Also, do you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions? If so, see Mrs. Hopley in room 1107 TODAY to request a special plate for prom if you have not already done so.
Going to prom? Help us determine the candidates for the 2017 prom court. Prom court nominations will take place online beginning today and ending next Monday, April 17th.
Attention Seniors! Two new scholarships just came in! HHS Athletic Booster Scholarship and the Hampshire Township Historical Society. The Hampshire Township Historical Society Scholarship is brand new this year. You must reside in Hampshire Township and will be pursing higher education. Both applications are now available in Student Services.
Celebrate Student Council’s Eggs-travagant Spring Sale! Send an egg to a friend for a dollar, or send a bunny to your hunny for $3! Today is the final day to order, so look for the Student Council table at lunch to purchase these gifts!
Also, student council members, we will have a meeting tomorrow in Ms. Kelly’s room at 7:05AM.
Hampshire tennis hosted a six-team tennis tournament this past Saturday. In the end, the Whips took home first place, earning 25 points. Flight results were: Alex Patthana - 4th place at first singles; Anthony Insyxiengmay - 2nd place at second singles; Kohlman Steuber and Aldren Briones - 1st place at first doubles; Daniel Hawkey and Elwood Stuart - 1st place at second doubles; Chad Sia and Alex Sayavongs - 2nd place at third doubles. Way to go, Whips!
