2010-2011 Course Requests in Progress...
Believe it or not, the process for students selecting their courses for the 2010-2011 school year has begun. The counselors will complete large group presentations to current juniors, sophomores and freshmen prior to Thanksgiving Break. At these presentations, students receive a planning form to begin mapping out next year's course requests.
Each student has been scheduled a 10-minute individual appointment with their counselor to discuss course selections further.
- Ø Juniors will meet with their counselor the Week of November 30th.
- Ø Sophomores will meet with their counselor the Week of December 7th.
- Ø Freshmen will meet with their counselor the Week of December 14th.
Students will be given a registration form and notified of their individual appointment the week prior to their meeting. Students are expected to bring their completed registration form with parent/guardian signature to their meeting.
We strongly encourage parents/guardians and students to work together to request an academically challenging course load appropriate for each student's abilities. HHS teachers and counselors are also a resource for this process.
