Our Shared Vision for Student Success

Belonging

In all we do, students feel personally accepted, respected, and connected to their school. Throughout the school where their identities matter, relationships are strong, and they are supported to engage fully in learning and be themselves.

Writing

Students use writing to think, learn, and communicate their ideas clearly, using evidence and academic language to share their understanding with confidence.

Inquiry

Students ask questions, think critically, and explore ideas to deepen understanding and solve meaningful, real-world problems.

Collaboration

Students work together respectfully, sharing ideas and listening to others to build understanding and achieve common goals.

Organization

Students take responsibility for their learning by managing their time, materials, and goals to succeed in rigorous work.

Reading

Students actively read to understand, question, and evaluate texts, making connections that help them master their learning.

Collaborative Teams (PLC Process)

Adults work together regularly to analyze student data, plan instruction, solve problems, and make decisions that improve learning for every student.

Student-Centered Instructional Coaching (Sweeney & Harris Model)

Coaches partner with teachers to strengthen instruction by focusing on student learning goals, examining evidence, and refining practices in a way that is supportive, job-embedded, and responsive to teacher needs.

Instructional Rounds

Adults observe classrooms together to gather evidence on instructional practices, especially WICOR strategies, and use that evidence to reflect, learn, and support improvement without evaluation.

MTSS: Academic and Behavioral Supports

Students receive timely, targeted support for learning and behavior based on their individual needs, with progress monitored so instruction and interventions can adjust to help every learner succeed.
